Refunds

  • If you cancel between 72 and 24 hours before the tour, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, there will be no refund.

Why these policies?

  • We operate on a schedule and need to know exactly how many participants we will have to ensure we have the appropriate number of guides each day.

  • We prepare the food (your lunch) and purchase the rest (dinner and breakfast) the evening before the tour.

  • We prepay for the spots on the buses that take you to the volcano.

  • There is a waiting list of people looking for available spots.

In case you can' t complete your ascend due to health complications or lack of physical preparation:

  • No refunds will be provided as we have already paid for your transportation, guides, and meals. You would have to pay for your transportation and/or book a room in la Soledad village to spend the night and be transported back to Antigua next morning with the group.

  • Weather Conditions:
    Nature is unpredictable, and we cannot guarantee specific weather conditions or volcanic activity. It is the client’s responsibility to check the weather forecast and decide whether to proceed with the climb. Our tours operate daily regardless of weather conditions.

Please note that weather conditions are beyond our control and your safety is our top priority. In the event that adverse weather does not allow to summit kindly note we do not make refunds.

  • Once we receive your deposit we immediately make payments to the private finca where the vehicles enter so they can grant you access; in addition payment is made to our 4x4 provider to secure your place in the vehicle.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR 4X4 TOURS

Pacaya, Acatenango and Fuego Volcano Hikes

1. Acknowledgment of Risk At Extreme Life Tours, we are dedicated to ensuring your safety and well-being during our thrilling hikes to Pacaya, Acatenango and Fuego Volcanoes. We understand that these outdoor adventures present inherent challenges, including unpredictable weather conditions and uneven terrain. By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with these activities, understanding that the enjoyment of this experience comes with potential hazards.

2. Assumption of Responsibility We take pride in providing you with a high-quality guided experience led by our guides. However, it is important to recognize your personal responsibility in this adventure. By joining the hike, you agree to assume responsibility for any risks or eventualities that may arise during the activity. You acknowledge that some factors are beyond our control, and you will rely on your own skills, preparation, and judgment to navigate the experience safely.

3. Release of Liability In exchange for allowing you to participate in this unforgettable experience, you understand and agree that Extreme Life Tours, its guides, and staff cannot be held liable for any unforeseen incidents that may occur during the hike. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur despite the safety measures we take. In the event of an emergency, any expenses incurred will be the sole responsibility of the participant. Extreme Life Tours will assist in coordinating the necessary emergency response (ambulance, firefighters, horse, or 4x4 vehicle), but the costs will be borne by the participant.

4. Indemnification By participating in the hike, you agree to hold harmless Extreme Life Tours, its guides, and staff from any indemnification, claims, damages or lawsuits resulting from your participation, including any claims made by third parties. You agree to cooperate in resolving any situation that may arise in the most effective and amicable manner.

5. Health and Well-Being Your health and safety are our priority. You confirm that you are in good health and physically fit to participate in the hike. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns, we strongly recommend that you consult with a healthcare professional before joining the adventure. Your participation in the hike is entirely at your own risk.

6. Compliance with Instructions Our guides are here to help you safely enjoy the hike. It is crucial that you follow their instructions and adhere to all safety guidelines during the experience. This ensures your safety as well as the safety of the entire group.

7. Governing Law This waiver is governed by the laws of Guatemala. Any disputes or legal matters arising from this waiver will be addressed and resolved in the courts of Guatemala. We are committed to handling all situations fairly and transparently.

8. Severability If any part of this waiver is deemed unenforceable or invalid for any reason, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.

By submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the terms outlined in this waiver. You accept the inherent risks of this adventure and agree to the conditions described here. We are excited to have you join us for this incredible experience!
